As a Proposal Manager, you’ll have the distinct opportunity to manage large, strategic and complex deals ranging from $50M to $1 billion supporting our clients who work in the areas of Federal Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence communities. What you’ll do…
- Manage all aspects of proposal development (proposal writing, editing, illustration, production efforts, etc.) from assignment and receipt of RFP, through delivery and receipt by the customer.
- Analyze solicitations (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.) in conjunction with other customer requirements and communications; and determine the final document structure.
- Prepare detailed proposal plans, schedule outline, and compliance matrix for assigned pursuits. Strong organizational management skills and attention to detail are essential attributes.
- Must be able to do general editing of written material, writing new material or working with reuse material, proofreading, and performing a quality check of proposals under tight deadline constraints.
- Coordinate and lead major project meeting events, such as Kick-off Meetings, Strategy Meetings, Black Hat, Pink, Red, and Gold Color Team reviews, etc.
- Lead effective storyboarding and development of strategic win themes and discriminators.
- Meet established deliverables and production deadlines (working with the Proposal Coordinator, if assigned).
- Provide detailed guidance to proposal writers/contributors and subcontractors.
- Manage writing assignments and receipt of all proposal materials with authors and teaming partners in accordance with the project schedule.
- Support and ensure proposal center processes are followed, a standard style guide is used, and documents are submitted in accordance with established guidelines.
- Manage the collection and editing of proposal materials to ensure compliance.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with sections L and M or similar instructions/evaluations.
- Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management.
You’d be a great fit if you…
- You have a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Proposal Management or in a Solutions Developer role.
- You can show 8+ years of success, winning proposal efforts valued at $50M or more
- You have a working knowledge of MS Office business applications.
It’s even better if you have…
- Have management skills to direct and orchestrate large proposal team efforts.
- Conceptualized and written and/or edited compelling proposal narrative and organized oral presentations from scratch.
- A background in a technical or business field.
- Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Worked with little direction and handle multiple tasks.
- An APMP certification.
- Worked in an environment that can include evening and weekend work, as required.
