As a Technical Editor and Desktop Publisher, you will work with Proposal Managers and Subject Matter Experts to create and drive quality standards, edit, and produce knowledge content in a cross-functional, distributed environment. You will provide technical editing and desktop publishing services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The projects you will support range from $50M to $1B and support our clients who work in Federal Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence communities.

What you’ll do…


  • Provide technical editing and desktop publishing services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Edit someone else’s writing and create clear, correct, concise, comprehensible and consistent writing working to schedules
  • Drive consistency and unity across multiple content deliverables, “one voice”
  • Produce compliant, compelling technical or business content
  • Provide an efficient, end-to-end publishing experience to style guide compliance
  • Focus on editing, mentoring and coaching, and evaluating customer-facing content

You’d be a great fit if you…


  • Have a degree in English, Technical Communication, or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of developmental and copy editing experience with technical and business documentation
  • Possess copywriting and formatting skills
  • Possess strong understanding of customer needs and experience advocating on behalf of customers
  • Edit for print, multimedia, and web-based content
  • Support content developers on ways to improve content deliverables
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and setting their schedules and priorities
  • MS Word 2010 (or higher) including formatting, graphics, and tables
  • Work with the APA, MLA, Chicago, or other style guides
  • Present clear and logical communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Experience coaching writers to improve content deliverables
